Purpose of the plugin

With the increasing prevalence of AI search engines and AI systems, it is becoming increasingly important to present shop data in a structured and AI-friendly manner.

This plugin specifically optimises shops for AI crawlers, large language models and AI-powered search systems. This enables products and content to be processed more effectively by modern AI systems and prepared at an early stage for AI-powered product searches, AI assistants and future commerce solutions

Features

AI optimisation with llms.txt and custom shop information

The plugin automatically creates an llms.txt file, through which AI systems receive key information about the shop. This includes, amongst other things, the shop description, product range, target market and target audience. Additionally, you can control whether content may be used for summaries, product comparisons or AI training.

Providing brand information via brand.txt
In addition to llms.txt, the plugin provides its own brand.txt file. This file can be used to store brand-related information about the shop, specifically intended for AI crawlers and AI systems. The brand.txt file can be used to provide AI systems with clear information about the brand, its correct spelling, accepted and unacceptable name variants, product names, key terms or a brief company description. This helps to ensure a more consistent representation of the brand across AI systems.

Structured JSON API for shop data
Products and categories are provided in a structured format via an integrated JSON API. This enables AI systems and modern search engines to process and better understand the shop data. You can define which products are visible in the API and whether product variants should be included. Furthermore, category filters allow for targeted restriction of the data provided.

Installation

  • Open the Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins
  • Upload, install and activate the plugin

  2. Accepted spellings of the brand name
  3. Unacceptable spellings or incorrect variants
  4. Product names with correct capitalisation
  5. Key terms typical of the brand
  6. A brief description of the company or shop

Configure JSON API

  1. Enable JSON API:
If this option is enabled, structured product and category data will be provided.
  2. Set product visibility

You can define which products are returned via the API. By default, only active products are included.

  3. Include product variants
Optionally, product variants can also be included in the API.

  4. Use category filter
The category filter can be used to restrict which categories and products are included in the API.
