Purpose of the plugin

The plugin expands Shopware's standard filter functions with a wide range of display and configuration options. This allows the entire filter logic to be individually adapted to the design and requirements of the shop.

Individual filter configuration
Filters can be flexibly activated, positioned and controlled in terms of their visibility. In addition to custom property filters, which can be configured as range sliders or min/max input fields for numerical values such as size, length or price, existing main filters such as price, manufacturer or ratings can also be customised. This allows you to specify exactly which filters are displayed, in which order they appear and whether they are displayed in the main area or under ‘More filters’.
Flexible display options
The ‘More filters’ area can be displayed either as a drop-down menu or in the off-canvas. Separate settings are available for desktop, tablet and mobile devices to optimally adapt the filter display to the respective end device. In addition, various display options can be individually configured, such as the display of active filters, the number of hits or the display of colours and texts. In addition, a category filter can be activated directly in the shop search so that customers can narrow their search to specific categories.

SEO and performance optimisation
Filter parameters can be output as readable, SEO-friendly URLs to improve search engine visibility. In addition, the plugin optimises the loading of property filters on the search page, reducing loading times for extensive product catalogues. Filters without results are automatically deactivated, maintaining clarity for customers.

 The installation of the plugin is very fast and uncomplicated.

Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins

Using the plugin

It will be added in Shopware Admin 2 new entry:
  • Settings -> Plugins -> Filter Configurations (basic configuration of the Shopware standard filters)
  •  Catalogs -> Properties -> Select a filter -> New Properties section as filter in the product listing (for the property filters)

Hint:

Shopware standard filters (like price, manufacturer, ratings etc.) are configured here:
Settings -> Plugins -> Filter configurations
In this area a filter "Product Properties" is also listed - this "block" can be completely hidden (or moved to more filters).

If you want to hide individual "Product Properties", you must do so here:

Catalogues -> Properties -> select a filter -> New area Properties as filter in the product listing


Category filter

The store search can be extended (activation in the plugin settings) by a category search.
This function makes sense if a search should be limited by the user to a category, so that the search results are better. 

Furthermore, a category filter can be displayed within the search results or in categories.


Min-/ max slider for property filters

A min-max slider can be integrated into the filter.
Example of use: Customer is looking for a table length between 2m - 2.20m.


Readable filter parameters

It is possible to configure readable filter parameters via the plugin. This can be activated in the plugin settings.

Das Plugin stellt Funktionen zur Verfügung die im Standard leider nicht zur Verfügung stehen. Es ist einfach zu konfigurieren und der Support reagiert super schnell. Hatten einen Verbesserungsvorschlag und nach einem Tag stand schon eine neue Version zum Download zur Verfügung. Danke!
