Use of the plugin
The plugin allows to display product bundles in the storefront. These product bundles can be assigned absoulte as well as percentage discounts and thus represent a great marketing tool. Product bundles increase the chance to sell several products at the same time and are an attractive offer for every customer by means of the self-determined discounts.
Functionality
- Discount can be added to the bundle.
- Bundles will be sorted by priority at storefront.
- Products in bundle will be sorted by priority at storefront.
- Products quantity can be changed in administration.
- It is possible to select on which products will be displayed bundle at storefront.
- Discount type can be absolute or percentage.

Please create a rule in RuleBuilder first
In the section Settings -> Shop-> RuleBuilder -> Create Rule
Here you define a rule, which you assign later to the product bundles, when these product bundles should be displayed.
After that create a product bundle
In the area Settings -> Plugins -> Bundle -> Create Bundle
Here
the product bundles are created. In these settings, you can also select
whether a percentage or absolute discount should be assigned to the
product bundle. The amount of the discount can also be set individually
and manually. It should be referred to the previously created rule, and
in which sales channel the product bundle should be offered. Here also
directly products, for which the Product Bundle is to be offered, can be
selected and assigned.
Application scenario
If
you offer products that are a good combination, or articles that go
together, product bundles are the optimal solution. The products in a
bundle should have a connection. It is best to put yourself in the
position of your customer. What problem does your bundle solve? If you
offer a bundle of a smartphone and matching items (charging cable,
headphones, etc.), you save your customers the search for matching
devices. Additionally, you can take a closer look at your customers'
previous orders: Are there products that have often been sold together?
This could be a first basis for product bundles.
Any number of
products can be assigned to a bundle. As well as for one product several
bundles can exist. These bundles are sorted in the frontend according
to the prioritizations, which are assigned in the backend. Product
bundles can be especially popular with customers who appreciate the
discount of the bundle. They also appeal to customers who value speed or
simplicity over the ability to customize their product options.
What do I need product bundles for?
- Selling bundles maximizes profits because the willingness to pay for one product, "transfers" to another and consequently the "middle" price of the bundle allows multiple customers to purchase it.
- Bundles can effectively increase the average order value by selling more without incurring higher transaction costs.
- Bundles make it difficult for customers to compare prices and switch to the site with the absolute lowest price.
- Such product bundles can encourage cross-selling if the bundle contains items from new categories.
- As a marketing and sales tool, such bundles can be used well. "Add this and save" promotional offers are becoming more and more attractive and can significantly influence the order value.
