Purpose of the plugin
In the standard version of Shopware, there is no straightforward way to offer sample items in a targeted manner or to manage orders for them.
This plugin extends Shopware with a flexible solution for providing and managing sample items.
Provision of sample items
The display and availability of sample items can be controlled via dynamic product groups and rules. This allows samples to be offered specifically for certain products, customer groups or scenarios.
Flexible pricing and ordering logic
Individual pricing rules can be defined for sample items, such as free samples or fixed prices. Additionally, order quantities can be restricted, for example the maximum number per product or the number of different sample items in the shopping basket. Optionally, you can control whether sample items may be ordered together with regular products.
Customised display in the storefront
The ‘Order sample’ button can be flexibly positioned on the product detail page and customised. Furthermore, custom text and information text can be defined to clearly inform customers about the function of the sample items.
Labelling and order processing
Sample items are clearly labelled in the shopping basket and in order confirmations. Individual order number prefixes or suffixes allow sample items to be uniquely identified and processed more easily.
Installation
- Open the Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins
- Upload, install and activate the plugin
