For GDPR reasons, Shopware Experience Worlds has a setting for ‘video elements’ that ensures videos are only loaded after the user has given their consent. However, in the Shopware standard, each video must be confirmed individually, which is not very user-friendly for visitors or shop operators.
We have therefore developed an app that offers two functions:
Storage of video consent within a session
As soon as a user accepts the video notice, the consent is stored for the entire session. All videos in all experience worlds are then loaded automatically until the browser is closed.
Consent via the Cookie Consent Tool
Consent can also be obtained directly via the cookie banner. This is stored in a cookie for 30 days, so that videos are loaded during this period without further confirmation.
To note:
The consent for the data transfer to the video providers is now done via a new entry in the Cookie Consent Tool. Thus, please adjust the texts accordingly to be legally compliant.
