Highlights

  • Role and rights system for experience worlds
  • Approval or blocking of experience world blocks for editors
  • Approval or blocking of experience world elements for editors

Features

  • Role-based control directly in Shopware rights management
  • Detailed permissions for entire experience world blocks (e.g. text, image, video)
  • Restriction or release of individual experience world elements
  • Immediate changes to rights for all assigned users

The experience worlds consist of various blocks and elements. In the Shopware standard, user roles can be assigned rights, but individual blocks and elements cannot be specifically linked to roles. This means that all users with access to the experience worlds have unrestricted access to all content.

We have therefore developed a plugin that offers the following functions:
Role and rights system for experience worlds
In addition to the existing Shopware roles, permissions for individual blocks and elements can now also be defined.

Release or block entire blocks
Blocks such as text, image, video or commerce can be specifically released or blocked for certain roles. A block determines the arrangement of content (e.g. two-column block with text and image).

Release or block individual CMS elements
Access can also be restricted at the level of individual CMS elements. Elements are the specific content within a block (e.g. text, image, gallery or form). This means that editors only work with the building blocks that have been assigned to them.

Greater clarity and security
Work in the editor is more clearly structured, content remains consistent and unwanted changes due to incorrect roles are avoided.

Installation

  • Open Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins.
  • Upload, install and activate the plugin.

Rollenkonfiguration:

  • Navigate to Settings > System > Users & Permissions.
  • Under Roles, select an existing role or create a new one.
  • Additional areas for blocks and elements are now available in the role editor.
  • Specify which blocks and elements should be available for each role.
  • Save changes

Note: After customising the roles, it may be necessary to clear the cache and log back into the admin area for the changes to take effect.
